It is not the first time that we see a rendering of a compact Porsche model in form of a hatchback. But it is the first time the idea doesn’t seem completely stupid. This time there is at least one angle from which this Porsche hatchback doesn’t look all that bad.

As soon as you move a bit left or right and disrupt the bang on side view, it is ruined. The front and rear ends of the Macan really do not suit a family hatchback. The car looks like some creepy lizard that suffers from some sort of genetic disorder.

It is a good thing that Porsche is not even thinking about developing a hatchback, then. This rendering goes to show that such a thing would look, well, awful. However, we can’t help but think that a Porsche hatchback would be amazing to drive, mainly because their cars always are. And the worse they look, the better they are to drive.

The engine can go in the back, too. Renault used to make a V6 Clio back in the day, and it was brilliant. It didn’t have any room for shopping, or passengers, but still.
