Porsche 918 Spyder Looks Stupendous in Gulf Livery

Porsche 918 Spyder is available from factory with a number of different liveries including Martini Racing and special designs courtesy of the Weissach Package. But if none of those float your boat and you are looking for something more even more unique, this Gulf livery might be the answer.

This rendering shows what a Porsche 918 Spyder would look like if you tastefully apply the Gulf colors to it. The main highlight is, obviously, the blue base, but the way the designer has manipulated the orange stripe is more interesting.

The stripe begins at the front of the car where it’s adorned by the Gulf logo, and continues to the top of the windscreen, between the roll bars, and the tip of the boot – or in the case of the 918, the hood. The rear spoiler retains its original carbon finish in this design, but the mirrors are wrapped in the same orange as the stripe.

As a reminder, Porsche 918 Spyder is powered by a V8 engine from the old RS Spyder racing cars, coupled with two electric motors on each of the axles. The system has a total output of 886 bhp, which translates into a 0 to 100 km/h time of under 3 seconds. Meanwhile fuel consumption in hybrid mode is on the par with that of the Toyota Prius.
