The original Dodge Charger, as I’m sure you know, was a two-door muscle car. But when Chrysler decided to bring it back to life and make a 21st century version of the iconic model, they turned it into a four-door muscle sedan. A lot of people liked that idea. Some didn’t.
That is why there have been numerous attempts to turn the Charger into a two-door coupe. The design of the car lends itself to this treatment rather beautifully, making you wonder whether Dodge should have made it like this from the beginning.
The most successful Dodge Charger Coupe conversion for the pre-facelift version is the one by West Coast Customs. You may have seen that car on TV with its chopped roof, lowered ride height, and of course, coupe body style. Now if they decided to do the same thing to the new 2015 version, here’s a preview of what it may look like.
This Dodge Charger Coupe rendering by X-Tomi Design shows once again that this body style works better as a two-door. That said, Dodge is never going to make this car simply because it would upset the Challenger’s market.
