A while ago Evo’s Henry Catchpole went to Romania with a Jaguar F-Type in search of the greatest driving road in the world promised on Top Gear. He ended up disproving TG by finding a piece of road that was even more awesome than Transfagarasan. Now though he’s found a new great driving road, this time in Majorca, Spain.
He actually finds two, but only the second one, Sa Calobra, deserves the title of greatest driving road in the world as it is almost always traffic and cyclist free. Of course now that everybody knows about it, it’s going to get crowded pretty soon!
The car Henry drove in this journey was the Porsche Boxster GTS. As we know from its hardtop brother, the Cayman GTS, this car features a few subtle changes over the standard model which add up to have a profound effect on the driving experience. It is a fabulous driver’s cars, although that sport exhaust sounds kinda irritating.
