While Play Station’s Gran Turismo 6 is getting concept cars designed exclusively for this game, Xbox’s Forza Motorsport 5 is trying to set itself apart by adding some exclusive cars to its rich lineup fin-game vehicles. The latest additions are the super-luxury Rolls-Royce Wraith and a Formula E race car.
The Rolls-Royce Wraith in Forza 5 is modeled meticulously based on the real life version with coach doors, a luxury interior full of wood and leather detailing, and of course 624bhp 6.6 litre twin-turbo V12 engine. They say they’ve even simulated the Wraith’s Satellite Aided Transmission in the game. It’s a cutting-edge technology that marries the car’s gearbox to GPS data to ensure Wraith is always in the correct gear.
Ass for the Formula E car, Forza 5 picked the most prominent one of them all, the Spark-Renault SRT_01E. Available as a free download in the Xbox Live marketplace, this marks the first time in video game history that a fully-electric single-seater has been featured as a playable car on a home entertainment system. Whether or not it’ll be any fun to play with remains to be seen.
