Celebrating 67 years of unrivaled off-road capabilities, Land Rover announced the launch of a special and strictly limited version of the Defender. It is called the Africa edition, and as is the case with most limited edition models it is set apart by its unique exterior and interior appointments.
Limited to just 50 units, the Land Rover Defender Africa edition comes with special black alloy wheels, a striking red roof, a cool snorkel, protection bars, new steps, and roof rack. Inside, it features Santorini black upholstery with red piping and accents and Bluetooth connectivity.
Available as a package for both 90 and 110 models, Land Rover Defender Africa edition is powered by a 2.2 liter diesel engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. It’s a good job the car looks so cool and has such decent off-road prowess, because the performance is really shabby. Zero to 60 mph in this car takes an agonizing 16 seconds, and the top speed is only 90 mph!
