The recently revealed Range Rover Sport SVR showed that JLR’s new special operations division means business and that they know what they’re doing. That is why we cannot wait to see what they they have in store for other JLR products, especially the Evouqe.
The talk of a high-performance version of Range Rover Evoque dates back to, well, when the car was first introduced. But RR either lacked the resources or the will to make it happen. Now they have both and there is no excuse to delay the project any longer.
These unofficial renderings made by independent designer Theophilus Chin try to give us an idea what the future Range Rover Evoque SVR will look like. And it will certainly be called SVR, because that’s the exclusive badge all special operations cars will share.
Inspired by the Sport SVR, Theo has given his Range Rover Evoque SVR an aggressive front fascia, extended side sills, a roof spoiler, a sporty rear diffuser and four tailpipes, plus a fiery orange paint job. The car looks fantastic, but we are more interested in knowing what sort of powertrain it is going to get. To know that we are going to have to wait a few more years.
