Toyota FT-1 Graphite Concept Revealed in Monterey

Toyota FT 1 Graphite 0 600x367 at Toyota FT 1 Graphite Concept Revealed in Monterey

Following the unveiling of the FT-1 Vision GT concept for Gran Turismo 6, Toyota also released a second FT-1 concept sports car with a new interior design and exterior color. On display at Gordon McCall’s Motorworks Revival gala in Monterey, the new Ft-1 is called the Graphite Concept.

Toyota FT-1 Graphite features, as the name suggests, a graphite-colored exterior which according to Toyota accentuates the deeply sculpted curves and muscles of the car and gives it a more sophisticated look. Whereas the first red one looked like something out of a video game, this one looks like it could result in a production car with a rather hefty price tag.

Apart from the fancy new exterior color, Toyota FT-1 Graphite also comes with a new and more luxurious interior. Instead of the black and red theme of the first concept, this one features natural brown leather on the seat is supple with an all-natural grain, giving it an authentic appeal. The design of the cabin is, apparently, inspired by superhero costumes!

The debut of Toyota FT-1 Graphite kind of seals the deal for the car’s future. It is not almost certain that Toyota is indeed going to launch a production version of the FT-1, otherwise it wouldn’t make sense going through the trouble of updating a concept they are not going to make.
