Low-volume car makers like to brag about their sales numbers, and none likes it more than Lamborghini, and with good reason. Ever since the Italian brand was bought by Audi and started making cars that all people, and not just rock stars, would want to own, those numbers have been on the rise.

The latest model that gives it some serious bragging right is the Lamborghini Huracan. It took over just over a year ago from the extremely successful Gallardo, poised to break that car’s sales records. And it appears it will do that a lot sooner than expected, as the numbers after just 10 months of going on sale are truly astonishing.

According to Lamborghini, in the past 10 months since they first opened the order books for the Huracan, 3,000 units have already been sold, a 1,000 of them in the U.S. Those are big numbers for a car maker like Lamborghini. Given the long lifecycle of Lamborghini models which is over 10 years, the Huracan could become their best-selling model ever. What’s more, there are many different variants of the car yet to be launched.

It is hardly a surprise why Lamborghini Huracan is selling like hot cakes. For starters, it is the successor to the Gallardo which everybody loved. It is also extremely cool, very pretty, and seriously fast. I mean what’s not to like!
