More and more Europeans are these days seeing the appeal of American muscle cars. The recent hike in the number of tweaked Mustangs and Camaros and Corvettes by European tuners is a clear sign of this shift in taste. Here’s another Euro-tuned Camaro, this time by GME Exclusive from Germany.

Right off the bat GME decided the muscle car needs a couple of hundred more horses. So they bolted a supercharger on top of the 6.2 liter V8 engine that powers it, and that increased the power output from 400something to a full 620 horsepower with 690 Nm of torque.

GME’s supercharged Camaro SS is now capable of accelerating from zero to 100 km/h in a pulverizing 3.5 seconds and go past 300 km/h flat out. These are the sort of numbers the standard Camaro can only dream about.

The tuner realized of course they have to do a lot of structural work on this supercharged Camaro SS to keep it in check at the kind of speed. So they installed adjustable coil over suspension system and a beefy brake package with eight-piston calipers up front, and wrapped the whole setup inside 20-inch lightweight alloy wheels.

GME’s Camaro SS can be yours for 64,500 Euros. You can get around 400 horsepower with that money if you go for a European sports car.
