True to the usual form, Aston Martin is having a tumultuous year in 2014. A while ago they welcomed aboard a new share holder, and more recently they got a new CEO. So you’d forgive them for not having anything brand-new to show to you at the Paris Motor Show.
That doesn’t mean Aston’s booth is anything less than spectacular. They have brought along the current production lineup including the latest special editions – enough reason to visit their stand. The latest production Aston Martin models carrying the weight of the show in Paris include the new V12 Vantage S Roadster and the Vanquish Carbon special editions.
The V12 Vantage S Roadster is the quickest and fastest-accelerating convertible Aston ever, powered by a 565 bhp (573 PS) AM28 6.0-litre V12 engine featuring a special Bosch engine management system. Singing a sweet soprano all the way to 201 mph, the car sprints from 0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds. The V12 Vantage on display in Paris features a tailored Diavolo Red paint job and unique leather interior from the ‘Q’ department.
The Vanquish Carbon special editions meanwhile come in two Black and White versions, featuring black window surrounds and ten-spoke gloss black non diamond turned alloy wheels. Inside, the theme continues with a choice of accent colors and materials that showcase a combination of standard carbon fibre features and black hardware.
These cars are joined on the stage by the V8 Vantage N430 and the Rapide S with special Q appointments.
