Rowen Crown Athlete 0 600x375 at Japanese Treat: Rowen Toyota Crown Athlete

Yes, it is easy to mock a pink sedan with a kit like this, especially one that is not sold only in the Japanese domestic market. But fight the temptation, because what Rowen has done here is actually a very decent job. They’ve turned an incredibly boring car into something that is, well, amusing, to say the least.

Rowen Toyota Crown gets a full set body kit including a front spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser, roof spoiler and trunk lid spoiler. These bits are combined with an utterly unique front grille, fog and LED lights, suspension lowering and aftermarket wheels. The pink paint job may have been a mistake, but you can have it other colors, which is a relief.

Rowen Toyota Crown is the sporty Athlete version which we hear is fairly powerful with a 0 to 100 km/h time of around six seconds. The Crown itself has a boxy shape and almost no sex appeal at all, but it is luxurious very well-appointed inside the cabin.

For their full Toyota Crown styling kit, Rowen Japan asks 352,000 Yen which is about 3,300 dollars. The Crown, to out knowledge, is a JDM only car. But a version of this model is on sale in other Asian countries under the name Toyota Aurion.
