McLaren is often criticized for being the geeks of the super car game. Their cars are absolutely brilliant in every tangible way, but a bit cold and unstimulating in everything intangible. That may have been the case with the 12C, but not the 650S. This one has soul.

This new promo clip they have released for McLaren 650S is all about the heart and soul and not much else. It shows a coupe and a spider version in the beautiful countryside around Bordeaux, France. If this car didn’t have a soul it wouldn’t have looked so amazing here…

McLaren 650S is, in essence, a slightly upgraded 12C. It features a P1-inspired front-end, revised chassis and suspension, and an uprated version of the M838T twin turbo V8 engine with 650 horsepower and a much nicer soundtrack. The aerodynamic is better as well, mainly thanks to that new front splitter. These little changes add up to make a big difference in the way the 650 feels to drive compared to the 12C.
