We tend to get very excited when we have a hyper car combo to show you, because it is quite rare to see these amazing machines rolling along solo, let alone in a group. Well, back in the day these cars were the hotshots. Seeing a Ferrari 250 Luso with a Porsche 356 Speedster 50 years ago must have been like seeing a LaFerrari and a 918 today!
The only difference is, the Luso and the Speedster look so much cooler than all of the modern hyper cars combined. Granted, they weren’t the baddest super cars of their day, not even close. But on the looks alone, these cars are among the very best in the history of automobile. Now wonder they shift hands these days at prestigious auctions for millions of dollars.
Now, as sexy as that Speedster looks, we have to admit our favorite of the two is the Ferrari 250 Luso. It has a wonderful design penned by Pininfarina and hammered into shape by Scaglietti, and a sweet-sounding V12 engine which at 240 horsepower was one of the most powerful engines of its time. It is just so unbelievably charming, this thing.
