As we have reported before, Scion is bringing two brand-new concepts to this year’s SEMA show. But turns out that is only a small part of what they have planned. Their lineup also includes a number of custom versions of the existing models, some of them really interesting propositions.
Perhaps the coolest member of this lineup is the Scion FR-S Targa Top, an open-top version of the famous sports car, built by Jeremy Lookofsky of Cartel Customs, the same outfit that made the new Scion tC limited edition.
Scion FR-S Targa Top features a black targa top and Azzuro California Blue body complete with an all-metal wide body kit and 19-inch forged wheels. Mechanically, the custom FR-S is upgraded with GReddy street turbo kit, custom center exhaust, KW coil-over suspension, and Wilwood Big Brake Kit.
Next to the FR-S Targa at Scion’s booth you will find the Slayer tC featuring custom paint job with airbrushed logos and skulls, suicide doors and Billet Slayer sword blade wheels with spike-style center caps, and the Riley Hawk Skate Tour xB with wood-grain décor, a mini fridge, shag carpet, an 8-track player, a Big Pioneer Sound System and the ability to play guitar through the audio system.
