Porsche revealed the latest iteration of its Cayenne GTS based on the 2015 version of the SUV. This sporty model sits between the Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo and offers a refined mix of sporty looks, agility, and luxury.
Being, in essence, a hotted-up Cayenne S, the Porsche Cayenne GTS is powered by a 3.6-litre V6 bi-turbo engine that has replaced the good old V8 unit, developing a very healthy 440 hp and 600 Nm of torque. The GTS can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds (5.1 with the optional Sport Chrono package) and reach a top speed of 260 km/h (162 mph).
2015 Porsche Cayenne GTS delivers satisfying performance, but this car is more about handling than outright speed. It comes with a tailored version of Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) damping system setup in a very sporty mode, and benefits from lowered suspension and brakes from the Cayenne Turbo with 390 mm discs on the front axle (358 mm at the back).
Visually, Porsche Cayenne GTS is distinguished over the standard models thanks to its Sport Design package, including more contoured side sills and wheel arch extensions, roof spoiler, 20-inch wheels in the RS Spyder design, the exhaust tailpipes, the bi-xenon headlights’ inner apertures and the fitment of darkened LED rear lights. GTS sports seats in leather/Alcantara upholstery and sport instruments are among the main highlights of the interior.
