Following the official introduction of the Ferrari FXX K, the first live photos of the car have now emerged from Abu Dhabi where the car was unveiled to the public during the Ferrari Mondiali event. The FXX K is a formidable looking machine with a powertrain that is scarier than the way it looks.
Built as the track-only version of the LaFerrari for the Corse Clienti program, Ferrari FXX K is in essence a hugely expensive toy that you can enjoy maybe three or four times a year during track days events Ferrari will organize for you. We reckon a lot of people will buy this car not because of the driving experience, but just because of its appearance.
The powertrain in the FXX K is similar to the one in LaFerrari, only here it is fully unleashed and makes 10,50 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque. It is also significantly lighter than the road going car and benefits from radical aerodynamics with 540 kg of downforce at 200 km/h. All this means the car drives like a full-blooded race car and that explains why Ferrari has included in the price tag, which is massive, professional driving instruction.
Ferrari FXX K will be produced in extremely limited numbers in the course of 2015, and it will only be sold to a limited number of special Ferrari customers.
