Our favorite designers and rendering artists, Theophilus Chin and X-Tomi Design, both have had a go at different Porsche models recenlty, trying to imagine what a facelifted version of the Boxster and the 911 would look like. What connects their work is the fact that they have both drawn inspiration from the big daddy 918 Spyder.

Theo’s work showcases a possible look for the Porsche 911 (991) facelift, which we know for a fact is in the works. He’s given the car a more sculpted bonnet, along with a 918-like bumper complete with carbon fiber front spoiler and side skirts. One would imagine the back of the car gets a similar treatment, perhaps with fancier taillights and a more pronounced diffuser.

X-Tomi’s take on the Porsche Boxster follows a similar philosophy. The effect of the 918 Spyder is evident at the front in the shape of the bumper, namely those distinct air intakes and the lip spoiler. Since the Boxster is an open-top Cayman, or vice versa, you expect the same sort of looks for the next Cayman as well.
