Yep, as usual it’s X-Tomi Design who is the first to come up with an enhanced (digitally) version of a popular new model. After showing us what the new Audi RS3 looks like in different body style, these guys have now come up with Audi RS Q7, speculating on what might be in store for the big SUV.
This as yet imaginary 2015 Audi RS Q7 is created using borrowed styling cues from other Audi RS models. But seeing as Audi is a huge fan of a unified corporate look, chances are a production version would have similar features to what you see here. You get sporty front and rear aprons, side skirts, lowered ride height, bigger wheels, and some fatter tailpipes.
In terms of performance, given the fact that the new Q7 has lost quite a bit of weight (320 kg), Audi can get away with using a smaller, more efficient engine that what they usually put in their RS models. The norm is a 4.0 liter turbo V8, but last time Audi tried a high-performance Q7 they fitted it with an absolutely massive V12 TDI diesel engine!
There will undoubtedly be a hotted-up version of the 2015 Audi Q7 in the near future, but it may not be a full RS model. A slightly hot SQ7 sounds like a safer bet.
