Aston Martin Vulcan 600x366 at Geneva Preview: Aston Martin Vulcan Hypercar

At this year’s Geneva Motor Show Aston Martin will unveil a showstopper called, according to this new teaser video, the Vulcan. Sources close to the company say that Aston Martin Vulcan is a track-only hyper car like McLaren P1 GTR and LaFerrari FXX K.

Aston themselves are fiendishly quiet about the specs and details of the Vulcan, but the soundtrack they are teasing here confirms whatever this car is, it is meant to for the race track. You can drive something that loud and angry on the road!

What we would want the Aston Martin Vulcan to be is a successor to the One-77 hyper car, but that is just not likely. Aston is in the process of renovating its factories and replace the old NVH platform and aging V8 and V12 engine with new equipment supplied by Mercedes-Benz and their performance arm AMG. We will be seeing Aston super cars in the future, but it is going to take a while. Aston Martin Vulcan is most likely a customer race car designed mainly to make more money out of the existing parts.
