McLaren Special Operations (MSO) likes to show off every now and again the bespoke, one-off cars they build for their high-profile customer. This McLaren MSO 650S Project Kilo is indeed one of these special models, and it is “one of the most personalized” cars they’ve built to date.

McLaren MSO 650S Project Kilo is a carbon-crazed mentalist, featuring the exotic material – in naked, untreated form – on its roof, custom rear diffuser and side panels, engine bay, side mirrors, and also inside the cabin, where in addition to the usual dose of carbon on the trim pieces, it also has it around the instruments.

Another highlight of McLaren MSO 650S Project Kilo is all the orange accents used in strategic places to further distinguish the car as a special model. You will find this unique McLaren Orange on the inner door seams, in the air ducts, and around the aluminum filler caps complete with McLaren MSO logos.

Project Kilo also comes with a real gold exhaust heat shield and a Kiwi bird painted on the engine cover, which is an homage to Bruce McLaren, the founder of the company, who was a New Zealander.
