Most people who have ordered a bespoke McLaren P1 MSO through the British car maker’s Special Operations division have only gone for unique exterior colors and maybe some fancy interior accents. The royal owner of this P1, though, wanted a plain white exterior. This car’s pièce de résistance is all the 24 karat gold featured in it.

This McLaren P1 MSO is said to be the first one in Malaysia, ordered by someone with royal ties. He obviously needed something to lift up his spirit, seeing as their passenger jets keep falling into the ocean.

The Royal P1, as it’s called, features 24k gold on its exhaust heat shield in McLaren F1 fashion. But that’s not the end of it. Gold is featured also on the engine cover, badges, and bits of the interior. The wheels are not gold, but they do boast a nice matte gold finish. Another highlight of this car is a bespoke VIN number.
