The new Ferrari 488 GTB is the replacement for the ultra-successful 458 Italia, and thus it is fair to assume Ferrari will give this car all the different variants the Italia got. As such, yesterday we looked at what the Spider version might look like, and now lets check out a possible look for the track version.

If the Italia is anything to go by, this Ferrari 488 GTB racing car could be what the Challenge version will look like. It could also be the GT3 endurance racer. And if someday they add the 488 to the Corse Clienti program,it could be also be the 488XX. So it’s anybody’s guess what will become of the 488 in terms of its racing career.

For now let us just marvel at the beauty of this imaginary Ferrari 488 track car, created by the talented designer Yasid Design, who also rendered this awesome Mercedes GLE Jurassic Park edition.

Since we are day dreaming here, we would like to think that a track version of the 488 will have its 3.9 liter twin-turbo V8 engine heavily tuned up. Instead of the standard 670 horsepower it makes in the standard guise, we want to have at least 800 hp. And while we’re at it, how about a KERS system with an overboost function?!
