Vaughn Gittin Jr., professional drifter and a man almost as cool as Ken Block, has got all-new livery of his prototype competition 2015 Monster Energy Nitto Tire Ford Mustang RTR and wants to show it off to you in style. That means lots of sideways action, appropriately for the season, on snow and ice.

So here’s Gittin Jr. giving his new Mustang RTR a proper shakedown on the ice-covered Warners Lake in East Berne, New York:

The biggest highlights of the 2013 Mustang RTR wide body, apart from the livery of course, is the new Nitto tires wrapped around a set of HRE wheels, featuring over 800 studs on each tire. Vaughn was very impressed with the performance of the new rubber, how it could handle the 3000lbs weight of his prototype competition car, and how they kept the car glued to the ground even in the hardest and fastest drifts he could throw the car in.

Gittin’s team will continue to work on the 2015 RTR prototype in preparation for the man’s future “global drift efforts.” In the mean time, the livery and those tires will be fitted to his 2014 RTR which will be featured in demos and exhibitions.
