So we checked out the new Porsche 991 GT3 RS at the Geneva Motor Show and later on in up-close videos, but we’re not done admiring this baby yet. Porsche has just added the RS to its online configurator website, which this time around features a couple of unusual colors for this version.
Traditionally, GT3 RS models come only in a few sober colors like white or grey, garnished, optionally, with GT3 RS logos and graphics. The new Porsche 991 GT RS does come in white and grey as standard colors, but it is also available with Ultraviolet and Lava Red as ‘Special’ colors. You can still get the logos and stuff, but if you wanted red wheel, you are going to have to go aftermarket. Available colors for the wheels are silver and sating black.
The base price for the Porsche 991 GT3 RS, in the U.S. is $175,900. But as is the case with most German sports car, by the time you are done speccing it up, even if you have been very careful not to get carried away, you end up paying a lot more than what you first expected. Not that any RS buyer actually cares. They buy this thing solely for the way it drives.
