Even though the Cayman GT4 has only been announced for like a month, it has already won the hearts and minds of all motoring journalists in the land. So much so that rumors have emerged the German automaker might be working on a more hard-core Porsche Cayman GT4 RS.

Knowing the recipe for Porsche RS models, one does not see why Porsche Cayman GT4 RS cannot become a reality. I mean, it is not like Porsche has to go to an enormous length to make this model. All they have to do is stiffen up the GT4 a bit and remove some of its extra garnish, and also fit a roll cage in the back. Job done!

In fact, it is so easy, the independent designers of PS-Garage have already had a go at creating a virtual Porsche Cayman GT4 RS. They started with a normal GT4, enlarged the aero parts a bit, fitted the cage, and applied some traditional RS colors. And the results looks pretty amazing. Seeing as the GT4 has 385 horsepower, 400 hp seems like the proper amount of power for the RS.

Here’s the standard Cayman GT4 in some new detail shots, so you can compare it to that potential RS:
