The new Porsche 911 (991) GT3 has finally made its way to the workshops of Canadian tuner SR Auto Group and they have come up with a unique treatment to welcome it. Paying homage to the Porsches of the years gone by, SR Auto Porsche 991 GT3 is equipped with a set of retro-looking PUR wheels.
The more hard-core Porsche enthusiasts among you have already noticed these PUR RS13 M2 (2-piece) rims are modeled on the famous Fuchs alloys, only they have a polished titanium silver all around instead of a two-tone black and silver like the original. It was probably a matter of copyright infringement.
At any rate, these PURs on SR Auto Porsche 991 GT3 make for a pretty interesting look, what with the dark black finish of the body and the yellow brake calipers – indicating the presence of ceramic brakes. They measure 21×9 inch on the front axle and 21×12 inch on the one at the back.
Powering the Porsche 991 GT3 is a 475 horsepower flat-six engine mated to a 7-speed PDK transmission. This engine didn’t have a particularly easy birth, as the early versions used to catch fire and burn the car down with them. That issue is fixed now.
