Black and Red McLaren P1 MSO Revealed

So just over week after we saw this blue McLaren P1 MSO, the Special Operations branch of the British car maker releases pictures of yet another one-off model, this time in black and red. This car is definitely one of the most unique examples of the P1 we’ve seen to date, but not necessarily the coolest.

There is no such thing as a “normal” P1 anymore. Every new P1 that leaves the factory in Woking is special in one way or another, and that makes it a one-off because no other car has that particular paint scheme or interior feature. So an MSO P1 is not really as special anymore as it was in the beginning. Still, they do do some pretty awesome things with these cars sometimes.

The two-tone black and red McLaren P1 MSO you see here looks like one of those exotic frogs that live in the Amazon, what with the black bumpers and fenders and rocker panels, and red aero parts, doors, pillars, hood, and engine cover. The wheels and the interior feature the same treatment, with the latter looking refreshingly different as gloss red has replaced the sea of carbon fiber we see in other, less extravagant P1s.
