Galpin Auto Sports, in collaboration with Ford, Xbox, 343 Industries, has come up with a one-off custom F-150 pickup truck called Ford F-150 Halo Sandcat, built to mark the release of Halo 5: Guardians video game for Xbox One. The military design of the car is inspired by Halo’s United Nations Space Command vehicle.

To be on display at E3 2015, Ford F-150 Halo Sandcat serves as a good showcase of the pickup’s great potential for customization. The video game-inspired cues aside, the kit that’s fitted to this vehicle can give you a lot ideas for upgrading your F-150 – whether it’s a rugged look you are gong for, or genuine off-road prowess.

The list of mods on the Ford F-150 Halo Sandcat include Addictive Desert Designs’ Baja XTR off-road conversion kit, which includes custom FOX Racing shocks, Deaver leaf springs, a Currie full floater rear axle, ADD fenders, side steps, a chase rack and 17-inch wheels with off-road tires to go along with a full custom Halo body wrap. Inside, there’s an Xbox One custom gaming system with displays mounted in the rear head restraints.

But that’s not all. The car is based on a 2015 Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCrew 4×4 with 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine and FX4 off-road package. So it’s not all show and no go. Although it won’t be particularly needing those capabilities when it’s parked on display in the South Hall entrance of the Los Angeles Convention Center.
