The coolest thing about Texan tuner Hennessey Performance is that their boss, John Hennessey, always puts his money where his mouth is. When he tells you that the new Hennessey Mustang HPE750 makes over 770 horsepower and can go beyond 200 mph, you can take that to the bank.

They didn’t exactly took the Hennessey Mustang HPE750 to the bank, but what they did with it t the Continental Tire Proving Grounds in Texas amounts to the same thing. Over there the Mustang clocked 207.9 mph (~335 km/h) which is one of the fastest top speeds ever recorded by a muscle car, and a road-going one at that:
