The new Ford GT came out of nowhere, literally, and took the world by storm. The concept version became an instant hit which of course led to its getting confirmed for production, and then came the Le Mans version. The car is no posed to conquer the virtual world as it debuts in the Forza Motorsport 6 video game.

At the E3 2015 show in Los Angeles a virtual version of the amazing Ford GT made its world gameplay premiere in style as the cover car for the next iteration of the leading race simulation franchise for Xbox. That is high honour for a car that isn’t even out yet.

Those of you who want a real Ford GT that you can drive on roads and tracks around the world will have to wait another year or so. Even then the GT will launch only in select markets, but if you are willing to pay good money, you can get one even if you live on Mars. The reason the new GT is such a hot car is partly due to its awesome new design which is the perfect blend of retro and modern, and partly because it features a sophisticated 3.5 liter EcoBoost V6 engine. That, of course, won’t sit well with the old-timer petrolheads, but it is very much of its time.

Other Ford models you can drive in Forza 6 include Shelby GT350 Mustang and F-150 Raptor.
