Mauro Calo, for those of you who don’t know him, is a precision driver and the record holder for one of the longest drifts in the history of drifting. Some say he’s even filled in for the Stig on a number of occasions. In this video he hits the beautiful Anglesey circuit in an Audi RS3 and forces this four-wheel-drive hatchback to go sideways against its will.
Interestingly, Calo has the designer of the Audi RS3, Stephan Fahr-Becker, with him. The bespectacled, bearded designer is not used to this kind of driving, which is why this wasn’t a particularly relaxing day for him:
The 2016 Audi RS3 Sportback is powered by a 2.5 TFSI engine that produces 270 kW (367 hp) and 465 Nm (343.0 lb?ft) of torque. The turbocharged engine accelerates the compact five?door from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, and top speed can be increased to 280 km/h (174.0 mph) upon request. In the NEDC, it consumes just 8.1 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers (29.0 US mpg), with CO2 emissions of 189 grams per kilometer (304.2 g/mi).
