Bentley Bentayga SUV should have been launched by now if it wasn’t for the fact that Bentley messed up the design the first time they tried and had to redo the whole thing. But it’s all done now and the car is in the final stages of testing as it gets ready for its world premiere, featuring the new look, most likely at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Spotters at the Nurburgring managed the other day to catch a Bentley Bentayga prototype in action. Despite its massive size, this thing can haul ass. This Bentayga must be the W12 version, judging by the way it accelerates out of the corners and also the way it makes those tires squeal:
Bentley Bentayga is already confirmed to get the same engine lineup as the Continental GT, i.e. a 6.0 liter W12 unit with more than 600 PS and a more efficient twin-turbo V8 with around 500 PS. There is no doubt the car is going to be ace mechanically, and that it will be the most luxurious and comfortable high-end SUV in the market. But if we’re honest we’re still not sure about the looks. Granted, you can’t judge a car’s looks while it’s wearing camoflauge. But is it possible that Bentley has played it safe this time, making the SVU look too much like a Continental?
