Five Porsche 918 Spyders Attack the Alps

Grossglockner in Austria is the highest mountain in the Alps and home to some of the world’s best driving roads. It is a favorite spot for motoring journalists and driving enthusiasts, which means you get to see some pretty spectacular scenes up there… like five Porsche 918 Spyders driving around together!

For the best part of the year Grossglockner is covered knee-deep in snow. But we are in the middle of the summer and it seems the sun knows just where to shine brighter in order to clear the roads off the snow and ice, leaving a nice covering on the hills, resulting in this picturesque environment you see here.

You could drive these roads in a Kia and still enjoy yourself. So you can imagine just how awesome it must have been for these guys hitting the mountain in 886 horsepower hyper cars with four-wheel-drive and a removable roof. Five Porsche 918 Spyders revving on the mountain could have easily kickstarted an avalanche though, but fortunately the 918 has an electric mode for tricky situations like this!

One of this five 918 Spyders is a uniquely specced Weissach Package model featuring large orange stripes and a more prominent aero kit.
