The yet-to-be-revealed Aventador SV Roadster is a model Lamborghini is not really putting that much effort into keeping a secret. They first let some official photos of the car to leak out, and now they have sent it out of the factory without any camouflage whatsoever.
That means it was bound to be photographed by the countless spotters that hang out in Northern Italy’s industrial town waiting for a juicy scoop the way the paparazzi camps outside celebrities’ houses. In fairness though, there really is no need to cover up the Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster because there is nothing about it you haven’t already seen.
The car is obviously an open-top version of the LP750-4 SV hardtop featuring the same roof arrangement as the ordinary Aventador Roadster which means it comprises two big slabs of carbon fiber. It’s an efficient method and it looks good on the car, but erecting or removing this roof involves some manual labour which the average Lambo owner may not enjoy very much.
In terms of the technicalities, Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster is exactly the same as the hardtop, which means it is powered by a 6.0 liter V12 engine with around 750 horsepower, an ISR single-clutch transmission, and permanent four-wheel-drive. Just as with the hardtop, the production will be limited and the price tag will be mahoosive, even more so than the coupe.
