After proving that the Porsche Cayman GT4 accelerates like a stabbed rat in this 0-285 km/h test, the guys at Motorsport Magazine decided to track the car and see how it does lap time-wise. So they made this video which includes a few awesome shots of the car around Magny-Cours Club test track and POV footage of the lap.
The POV footage manages to deliver some sense of how much fun it is to toss around a car as well-balanced as Porsche Cayman GT4 around a tight and twisty track like Magny-C. The phrase ‘poetry in motion’ springs to mind:
Somewhere deep inside that good-looking booty of Porsche Cayman GT4 is hidden a 3.8 liter six-cylinder flat (boxer) engine. It chucks out 385 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque which, when tarmac is applied, converts to a 0-100 km/h time of 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 295 km/h (183 mph). In spite of its amazing performance, this engine manages to be fairly economical with an average fuel consumption figure of 10.3 l/100 km and CO2 rating of 283 g/km.
