So after many teasers and one really good rendering, we finally get to see the real Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe in these first leaked pictures, evidently snapped during a private presentation. And the car looks pretty much as expected, although we have to say the rear view is refreshingly different from that of the C63 Sedan, which is good.
The official debut of the 2017 Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe is only days away, and after that the car will be headed to Frankfurt for its world premiere at the IAA. The new Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe is expected to come in two normal and S guises, just like its sports car sibling, the AMG GT. These cars share the same engine and chances are they get the same power output as well. On that basis you can expect around 470 hp from the standard and 510 hp from the S model.
That doesn’t mean Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe will not have a party piece. As you can see in the latest video above, the new Coupe will come with an electronically controlled limited-slip differential on the rear axle which according to Mercedes offers the advantages of a mechanical limited-slip differential and guarantees increased driving stability in slaloms and when changing lanes at high speeds. So does this mean the new C63 won’t be as hilariously tail-happy as its predecessor? Well, that remains to be seen.
