As promised, Lamborghini official unveiled the open-top version of the latest SuperVeloce model, the Aventador SV Roadster, at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. This limited edition of just 500 copies is the most extreme production version of the Aventador to date.
The 2016 Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster combines the sheer lunacy of the SuperVeloce with the visual drama of the Roadster Aventador to offer something truly exhilarating. The technical specs are the same as the hard top SV, but the Roadster makes and feels like it’s a completely different monster.
Just like its coupe sibling, Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster is around 50 kg (110 lbs) lighter than Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster and packs 50 more horsepower at 552 kW (750 hp) at 8,400 rpm and 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) of torque. The supercar is capable of accelerating form 0 to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 350 km/h (> 217 mph), which is the same as the McLaren P1.
The only thing remains for you to know is the pricing, which is 357,000 Euros or $530,075 USD. That is the factory price for pre-orders. If you purchase the car from third-party dealers, you will probably end up paying another 50 or 100 grand on top of that. Limited Edition SV models appreciate in value even before they leave the factory!
