With a 400 horsepower bi-turbo V6 petrol engine, Porsche Macan Turbo is the most potent member of the crossover family. But should you fancy even more power, Mcchip-DKR has a nice and clean upgrade package that gives you a fair few extra horses at a very reasonable cost.
One would imagine that it’s the less powerful variants of a specific models that warrant a power upgrade. But that’s a wrong perception, since those who buy an entry-level model, say, a Macan Diesel, have no interest in speed and performance. It’s the top of the food chain where all the action is, and the reason Mcchip has developed a kit for the Porsche Macan Turbo.
Mcchip takes in a standard Porsche Macan Turbo with a 3.6 liter turbocharged engine which, as mentioned, develops 400 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque. After a few hours when they are done replacing the default code on the car’s ECU that powers shoots up to 460 horsepower and 630 Nm of torque. The program costs 2,899 Euros installed, but that’s actually a good price for 60 extra horsepower.
