2016 Ford Focus RS – Pricing and Specs

2016 Ford Focus RS spec 600x415 at 2016 Ford Focus RS Pricing and Specs

So months after its debut, the 2016 Ford Focus RS is now back in the headlines, showing off its sweet performance figures. That doesn’t mean you can start fancying one just yet, as  deliveries of the new hot hatchback will start in North America in spring 2016.

When it finally arrives at the showrooms, the 2016 Ford Focus RS will offer its customer Porsche-rivaling performance with a 0 to 60 mph time of 4.7 seconds. That is the direct result of having 350 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque (projected figures) and Ford Performance All-Wheel Drive. The  2.3-liter EcoBoost engine in this hatchback is the same you find in the Mustang EcoBoost, so you kind of expect to be pretty good.

But the new Focus RS is not just about outright performance. This bad boy can corner like nothing else, thanks to a trick differential, sports suspension and special dampers. But the real party piece here is a drift mode, part of four different drive modes, that allows that alters parameters in the all-wheel-drive control unit, damper controls, electronic stability control, steering and engine responses and allows the driver to slide the car about like nobody’s business.

As for the pricing, 2016 Ford Focus RS will start at $36,605, which sounds reasonable, given what it’s capable of.
