Every petrolhead in the land is waiting with bated breath for the imminent reveal of the all-new BMW M2. But we have to go through a whole lot of teasers and previews before that happens. And we’re counting this spy video of the car testing at the Nurburgring as a teaser because it makes you all the more giddy to have this car.
On paper, the new BMW M2 seems to be a slightly hotted-up M235i. It will boast the same engine, a straight-six turbo unit, with the power output pushed to around 370 horsepower. But the M2 will be a different animal to drive thanks to a host of M features and technologies. The M2 will have different suspension and electronics than the M235i, bigger brakes, lightweight wheels, a M differential, and different steering setup.
All that means the car is going to be a devastating track weapon, judging by the way it just devours the corners at the fearsome Green Hell:
You can think of the BMW M2 as a heavily tuned M235i. It even looks the part, what with the M bumpers and sills and all the aero parts it is sporting. You get a unique front spoiler/air intake combo that gives the car a menacing look some deliciously flared wheel arches. Just refrain from putting a big rear spoiler on it and you are all set.
