During an autumnal super car meeting somewhere in the United States of America, spotters managed to capture an astonishingly beautiful Dodge Viper Time Attack out on the road. This car is a pretty rare beast, especially in this visual configuration.
Now, it might be because of the poetic weather, or that superb black and red stripe, but this Dodge Viper Time Attack is looking really really good. And that is something we cannot say about the standard Viper. Mind you, the TA comes with a subtle aero kit featuring front and rear spoilers as well as blacked-out wheels. So, it’s all in the details with this car.
Dodge Viper Time Attack was built as a response to all the criticisms SRT faced back then when the standard Viper lost to the previous-gen Corvette ZR1 in a head to head race. It is a track ready version which lightened, stiffened, equipped with Bilstein Damptronic suspension system, ultra light wheels, semi slick tires, Brembo brakes and a 640 horsepower and 600 lb.-ft. of torque.
It was an exercise in futility though, as Chevrolet went ahead a few months later and launched an all-new Corvette, one that the Viper could not even dream of beating. Still, The name Viper carries enough juice for the car to maintain its position as one of the world’s most iconic supercars.
