So after BMW i8 and Mercedes AMG GT, the guys at Prisk Design have now given their signature shooting brake treatment to the McLaren 570S. And as with the previous efforts, the result is hugely intriguing, but not entirely realistic.

McLaren 570S Shooting Brake certainly looks pretty cool, what with the nice fender flares and the whole hatchback coupe thing it’s got going on. But the whole shooting brake argument is somewhat moot when you are dealing with a mid-engined car like the baby Mac. The back end of this car is full of engine and exhaust and stuff. Even in this format you won’t be getting much in the way of boot space.

That said, from a purely aesthetic point of view, McLaren 570S Shooting Brake is a nice proposition. There have been supercars as serious as the 570S in the past successfully converted to shooting brake by coachbuilders. Examples that come to mind include Bentley Continental and Maserati Quattroporte, and a fair few Ferraris back in the day. All this one needs to become a reality is for a millionaire to like it enough to place an order.
