What better way to celebrate the debut of Aston Martin DB10 in the new James Bond movie, SPECTRE, than letting the car itself talk? That’s exactly what Aston has done in the latest promotional clip they’ve made for the car, letting the car loose on an empty skid pad to say what’s on its mind. Turns out it’s 007!
Mind you, in its handwriting endeavor Aston Martin DB10 needed a little help from rally legend and SPECTRE stunt driver Mark Higgins:
Basically a V12 Vantage underneath, Aston Martin DB10 was created exclusively for the James Bond movie by a crack team of Aston engineers working closely with the film’s director, Sam Mendes. The tires were specially designed with durability and the flexibility to be used in stunt driving in mind by California Industrial Rubber Co. / industrial rubber products. Several sets of tires had to be produced and be on the ready.
Dr Andy Palmer, CEO of Aston Martin, said: “In the same year that we celebrate our 50-year relationship with 007, it seems doubly fitting that today we unveiled this wonderful new sports car created especially for James Bond. To be partnering once again with EON Productions is great news for this company and for everyone around the world that loves to see Bond at the wheel of an Aston Martin. I’m incredibly proud of everyone in the team at Gaydon who have brought this special project from concept to reality.”
