Lexus has got to come up with better names for their concepts. This whole LF-L-thing is becoming really hard to follow and we’re not sure which is which anymore. We just now that Lexus LF-FC Concept is the latest of the bunch and that you should look at this car if you want to know where they are going with their design.
Lexus LF-FC Concept boasts a new iteration of the Japanese car maker’s controversial, but fairly successful “L-finesse” design philosophy. So it still looks pretty aggressive, and the spindle grilles is as in-your-face as ever. Other familiar elements, such as floating “L-shaped” daytime running lights (DRL) and similar taillights, have also been given a boost in intensity.
The overall look of the Lexus LF-FC Concept is that of a four-door coupe, which is why some people say it is what the next LS sedan will look like. The car features 21-inch aluminum wheels with carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) rims, which is interesting, and also a sporty and luxurious cabin with the front compartment designed for those who like driving and the rear seats for those who prefer being driven.
Another interesting highlight of Lexus LF-FC Concept is the powertrain, which is a high output fuel cell power system that energizes the rear wheels, and also sends power to two in-wheel motors in the front. That makes the car four-wheel-drive and gives it great performance, though we haven’t got any facts and figures as to how great exactly.
