Aston Martin Rapide Wide Body 600x380 at Virtual Tuning: Aston Martin Rapide Wide Body

A lot of people think we have something against the new Aston Martin Lagonda, and, well, they are right. We think it’s a stupid and expensive thing. Instead of building that, Aston should invest more in stuff like this, an Aston Martin Rapide Wide Body!

Of course, we do realize wide body treatments are a job for the tuners and not the car maker itself. But if Aston is adamant to make a cooler version of the Rapide, something like would look a whole lot better than that Lagonda thing. Mercedes did this with the Black Series, essentially tuning their own cars with flared fenders and large wings, and it was a huge success.

Penned by Rain Prisk Designs, this Aston Martin Rapide Wide Body is designed in a completely free environment with no rules to worry about. That is why it looks so good. The designer has evidently drawn inspiration from the works of Japanese tuner Liberty Walk, as you can tell by the shape of the extended fenders. We also like what they have done with the body kit, consisting of side skirts, front chin spoiler, and, presumably, a rear diffuser.

We would definitely like to see this car in production or at least an aftermarket kit that looks like it. And we want it to have at least 600 horsepower!
