FIAT GT series has always been among the most entertaining forms of Motorsport mainly because of all the supercars taking part in close competition. And when it’s an awesome venue like the Macau Grand Prix, you also get a lot of cool side action to enjoy.
So in this gallery you get to see what went on off the track at the 2015 Macau Grand Prix, in which German Maro Engel snatched the victory in his Mercedes SLS AMG GT3. The Audi R8 LMS came second with Rene Rast behind the wheel, while Stefan Mucke secured a third place on the diverse podium for the Aston Martin Vantage GT3.
“It is so, so wonderful, and I’m so, so proud,” said Engel, taking his second win on the Guia street circuit and the inaugural FIA GT World Cup Drivers’ title. “I made a big mistake in qualifying and I thought right there standing by the wall that my weekend might be over and I’d blown the opportunity we had. To win this race today is amazing. I just love this place, I love this track.”
But as cool as it was to watch these supercars rub shoulders and swap paint, the display of cars and the grid girls were among the bigger attractions of the event and now thanks to automotive photographer ChesterNG you get to see all of that as well.
