Hyundai Motors released a couple of official renderings of the new G90 luxury sedan ahead of the car’s debut in Korea early next month. Pitched as the range-topping model for the car maker’s new Genesis sub-brand, Hyundai G90 will most likely hit other markets as the new Equus or Centennial.
The design of Hyundai G90 is a harbinger for what’s to come for the Genesis brand in the future, and it invariably affects the looks of more ‘normal’ Hyundai models as well. The main highlights include a bold front grille with a grand Genesis emblem above it, sharper angles than we are used to from Hyundai, and distinctive light designs. Apart from that, Hyundai G90 also showcases the new technologies and driving characteristics that will be uniformly featured in future production models by the Korean car maker. They say it boasts “world-best safety features and technological innovations.”
Woong-Chul Yang, Head of Hyundai Motor R&D Center and Vice Chairman of Hyundai Motor, said, “Genesis’ new large luxury sedan G90 will deliver a concept of ‘New Luxury’ to our customers. The G90 sits at the pinnacle of the Genesis brand and demonstrates how we apply our human-centered values to give our customer true satisfaction in every aspect of the vehicle ownership experience.”
