A few days ago McLaren Newport Beach treated its customers to a private track day event at Auto Club Speedway in California. As expected, a large number of Macs turned up for the event, and although there wasn’t a P1 among them, a couple of absolutely gorgeous Chicane Grey McLaren 675LT played the role of the eye candy.
In this gallery you get to see the LongTail McLaren in a series of awesome photos taken at the track where the car seems most at home. The massive front splitter and the long tail incorporating a pair of man-sized exhausts perturbing out of the middle of the apron give McLaren 675LT the look of a full-on racing car. That is why the car looks so imposing and awe-aspiring when you see rolling down the street.
As for the technicalities, McLaren 675LT has an uprated version of the M838TL 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine rated at 675 horsepower here. Weighing at 1,230kg (2,712 lb), the car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62mph) in 2.9 seconds and it has a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph) while returning 24.2 mpg (11.7 l/100 km) on the EU combined cycle.
The 675LT is fitted with adjustable settings for both Handling and Powertrain through the Active Dynamics Panel rotary switches. While a system shared with other models in the McLaren range, the Normal, Sport and Track settings are uniquely calibrated to the 675LT, and are designed to provide the most engaging and track-focused experience.
