Acura came out with big news before signing off for Christmas, announcing the launch of an important new concept which, according to the company, will set the direction for future Acura design. There isn’t much known about the Acura Precision Concept at this moment, only that it’s a performance-luxury sedan.
We’ve been hearing rumors about a new baby super car by Acura, something that would sit below the NSX in the range. Oddly enough, the release of Acura Precision Concept makes us more optimistic about that car, as it shows Acura is dedicated to launching a whole new series of cars over the coming years. The one future Acura we’re waiting for is the Spyder version of the NSX.
“The Acura Precision Concept will signal the stronger and sharper focus of Acura styling on our core DNA we call ‘precision crafted performance’,” said Dave Marek, global creative director for the Acura brand. “It is our intention to more strongly express performance through design and the Precision Concept will serve as the inspiration for the styling and proportion of the next-generation of Acura vehicles, especially for our sedans.”
